Hello Ultimatefuffin
Im fine, had some ups and downs recently but things are going alright.
Made a bunch of enemies last month because they're annoying and always repeat the word "d...head" in everything they say. Such joyful times, such joyful times
So how are you?

Re: Spam Thread
Just noticed NYman got demoted because he wasn't contributing. Well he was a pretty good mod but a month or two at the start of the year nothing was happening on the forums, no posts or nothing from anyone. So really moderating in that time would be pretty useless.

Re: Spam Thread
hello leo
EDIT: Just something i need to know. I'm planning on turning my old gameboy pocket or snes controller into an mp3 player (might be adding built in speakers, using a switch of some sort to connect it to the mp3 and to disconnect it), and i was wondering can you cut up a circuit board and use wires to re-connect them?

Re: Spam Thread
Well yes you probably could, but modifying the case would be needed (plus putting speakers is a lot of effort)Boxeh wrote:hello leo

or if your lazy and never use your old gbp or snes cntrl then just buy a pre made ipod or something cheap with no case open the *soon to be mp3* and just place all the wires/screen into place. but if it is something with a screen you need like a port for everything, more cutting welding and stuff. only do this if you have the time.

Well my gameboy pocket is pretty much in good shape, there maybe a dint or two on the case but everything is good. The switch and speakers in the gameboy could be in good use, the speakers in a gameboy aren't very high quality.
- Spoiler:
First i need to see how much spare space is in the gameboy pocket (with all the hardware in it), if it has enough space to fit a cheap mp3, or an ipod shuffle, i could just incorperate the mp3 in it without losing the ability to play games on the gameboy. I got two gameboys so if i screw it up, i could just start again. It would just require a switch, a button, 2 holes or 1 hole for charging/file management and earphones.I could just wire the mp3 to the battery thing on the back but i lost the battery covers on my gameboy pocket.

Re: Spam Thread
Got myself a hot wire cutter, hopefully it would cut through the plastic. Got a solder, some soldering iron and some sort of thing that cleans stuff (it's like some sort of gel). It helps soldering stuff together. Just need to find 2 cheap mp3 players.

Re: Spam Thread
thanks
The nearest shops that sells an mp3 player is asda which is a 30 minute walk from my house
I'm kinda suprised on how the screen is plugged in. The gameboy pocket uses the same style of wire as the ds and nearly the same locking mechanism.
EDIT: Found some mp3 players but there too narrow/compact, need something big-ish.

Re: Spam Thread
When they are narrow and small all of the components are compact, and it's going to be hard to used the pre-made slots on the gameboy, such as the where you plug in the connect cable. Just need something a bit wider. Plus im planning on using the buttons on the gameboy to operate the mp3. Mp3 players with click buttons to navigate is what i really need. Im looking at other mp3 players.

Re: Spam Thread
Well for starters the buttons should be on one side (the sides of the mp3) and with the usb part and earphone plug adjacent to them (usb and earphone plug to me should preferably be on the same side.
EDIT: I just downloaded call of duty black ops wii and it's in parts, do i extract one file and all will follow or do i extract all at once?

I found a few but they're a bit too fat though.Ultimatefuffin wrote:Hmmm, I had an RCA Lyra that kinda sounds what you're looking for. It would be too thick though...
As for the black ops, as long as you have all of the parts, extracting the first should combine them all.
Thanks i got the whole ISO.

Re: Spam Thread
ill try to look in other stores like argos.
Black Ops wii is pretty good, the story is pretty interesting. Online is completely terrible when you first go on it without updating. Its completely unplayable without downloading the update in-game to fix the bugs. The new ally system works pretty good, saves having to write down a friend code.
EDIT: Something i just wanna say...PICKLES

if you hate using the wiimote and nunchuck try using a classic controller for a more 360/ps3 feel to it.

Re: Spam Thread
it's the same with me, nothing much has happened beside fixing my psp that i haven't used in like 4 years. I turns out the screen was interfering with the power so my dad ordered a new screen. The analogue stick is busted, the start and home button are busted so im replacing the button strip. Some parts should come in 2-4 days.

Re: Spam Thread
I decided not to buy it because my new screen and other parts arrived a few days ago, no need to replace a newly restored psp. I pimped out the psp, black on the left and white on the right (buttonwise). The button set that i got were kinda rubbish, the directional buttons failed but everything else was good. Just need an analogue stick replacement and 2 8gb sd cards for my memory stick pro duo adaptor which can hold 2 sd cards. After that im set.
Lol listened it twice, mine just mutes after an hour and a half.
